The Synopsys Library's 8051 and 6811 cores are high-performance, synthesizable and configurable 8-bit microcontrollers designed for fast and easy integration into SoC, ASIC or FPGA designs. The technology-independent microcontrollers are fully binary compatible with the industry standard 6811 and 803x/805x microcontrollers and includes a complete verification environment. To ensure ease of use, these powerful solutions are packaged with Synopsys' coreConsultant™ tool, a user-friendly wizard, which walks the designer through the necessary steps of core integration, including configuration, simulation, and synthesis. The Synopsys Library's 8051 core provides up to three times performance improvement over the standard 8051 when operating at the same clock rate. The Synopsys Library's 6811 core implements the full M68HC11 instruction set and provides a rich set of configurable, optional peripherals and up to 19 internal/external interrupt resources.
